Police continue to search for the suspect in connection to a shooting that injured one individual outside an apartment building in the 17000 block of Plummer Street in the Northridge neighborhood of Los Angeles, Calif., on Feb. 16. Authorities believe that they've identified the assailant and that they could be barricaded in the apartment complex. Multiple schools in the area are on lockdown, including Dearborn Elementary, Balboa Magnet, and Oliver Wendell Holmes International Middle School.
Increased security and localized transport disruptions are almost certain to continue until authorities conclude their operation and the suspect is arrested.
Avoid the area until the police give the all-clear. Seek alternative routes to circumvent the impacted location.
