Social activists affiliated with the '1 Million March 4 Children' group are staging demonstrations across Canada on Oct. 21 to denounce various transgender-related educational policies. Rallies are planned in at least 52 cities and eight provinces. Additionally, activists opposed to the views of the '1 Million March 4 Children' group are also conducting counter-demonstrations at locations nationwide.

Several known protest locations are as follows:

  • Grande Prairie, AB: Rally at 100 Avenue and 99 Street intersection from 15:30-17:00 p.m.
  • Pickering, ON: Civic Complex area.
  • Winnipeg, Manitoba: City Hall from 13:00-16:00 p.m.
  • Toronto, Ontario: Queen's Park from 11:00.

The planned demonstration in Ottawa, ON, on Oct. 21 was canceled due to unforeseen circumstances.

Heightened security is likely near protest locations. Localized disruptions to transit, including mass transit, as well as business activities, are probable. Clashes between participants, security forces, and opposing activists are possible.
