A modified curfew remains in place, with restrictions active only at night from 20:00 daily, and a continued ban on public gatherings of over four people. Authorities could modify restrictions at short notice, depending on any perceived threats or renewed violence.
Related demonstrations of varying types are possible over the coming days despite the enhanced security measures. Potential gathering sites include police stations, prominent government buildings, religious sites, public squares, and thoroughfares. Authorities have deployed more than 1,000 security personnel, including paramilitary personnel, to secure the affected regions. Further clashes between police and activists and between members of different religious groups cannot be ruled out. Localized transport disruptions could occur along routes connecting Gurugram to other regions, such as Delhi, due to potential protests and the reported travel of residents in the outskirts of Gurugram City - mainly involved in domestic services and local industries - to their hometowns. Reports also indicate associated localized business disruptions. Although unlikely, any fresh violence may prompt business closures and telecommuting arrangements, including in Gurugram.
