Informational

Event

Utility provider Maynilad Water Services has announced that water disruptions will occur in parts of Caloocan, Malabon, Manila, Navotas, Quezon, and Valenzuela cities in Metro Manila from July 12 due to reduced water levels at Angat Dam. The interruptions will occur 19:00-04:00 daily. Officials expect the water disruptions to affect 591,000 users but did not specify an end date for the outage.

Business disruptions are possible during water outages, especially for companies that rely on large quantities of municipal water for their operations.

Advice

Stock up on drinking water and confirm alternative water supplies for business operations. Use only bottled water from reputable suppliers for drinking and hygienic purposes. Pressure and water quality may be poor after service resumes; run taps for several minutes before using water. Minimize nonessential water use throughout the outage.
