Event

Anti-war activists plan to demonstrate in Berlin, June 16-17, against the national Tag der Bundeswehr (Military Day). Two protests are planned:

  • June 16: Dorothea Schlegel Platz, Berlin, at 17:00. This protest is in front of military offices.

  • June 17: Franz-Ziegler-Strasse 28, Brandenburg an der Havel, at 13:00. This protest is also against the NATO air exercise, ongoing in Germany.

It is not known how many will attend these events, however it is possible that several hundred may take part. Authorities will almost certainly deploy additional police to monitor the gatherings. Security measures may result in localized traffic disruptions. Scuffles between protesters and police are possible.
