An explosive device detonated and struck a civilian bus near the Syrian-Jordanian border in Daraa Governorate, wounding at least 16 people on April 3. The victims reportedly are employees of the Jordanian-Syrian Free Trade Zone, a joint commercial venture between Amman and Damascus. No group has as yet claimed responsibility; however, Islamic State (IS) likely carried out the attack, as its militants have regularly targeted military and civilian buses in the region.
