Unionized ride-hailing application drivers plan to strike at LaGuardia Airport (LGA) in New York 12:00-23:59 Feb. 26 over working conditions. Drivers plan to suspend passenger pickups at LGA during the action; organizers claim passenger services to LGA and elsewhere in the city will continue. Drivers also plan to stage a related demonstration at LGA's Cell Phone Lot from 12:00. Hundreds could participate in the industrial action.

Heightened security and localized ground transport disruptions are probable at LGA through Feb. 26. While the protest will likely pass peacefully, minor skirmishes between participants and security forces remain possible. Increased demand for alternative transport, including normal taxi services, are likely and will probably prompt increased road congestion around LGA.
