Event

Activists affiliated with the World Wide Rally for Freedom plan to hold protests in multiple locations throughout the US and Canada Nov. 19 in support of the freedoms of speech, movement, choice, assembly, and health. The organization was initially established in 2021 to oppose COVID-19-related restrictions and mandates.

Among the confirmed protest locations are:

Canada

  • Calgary: City Hall Plaza, 13:00

  • Edmonton: Alberta Legislative Grounds, 13:00

  • Hamilton: City Hall to Bayfront Park, 12:00

  • Toronto: Queen's Park North, 12:00

  • Vancouver: Robson Street, 12:00

  • Winnipeg: Manitoba Legislative Building, 13:00

US

  • Fort Lauderdale, Florida: Las Olas Boulevard, 11:00

  • Houston, Texas: Dunlavy Street Bridge, 11:00

  • Las Vegas, Nevada: Fashion Show Mall, 13:00

  • New York, N.Y.: Union Square, 12:00

  • Olympia, Washington: Washington State Capitol, 14:00

  • San Diego, California: Waterfront Park, 11:00

Hundreds are likely to participate in most of the protests, although it is possible that some of the demonstrations, especially in Canada, will likely have several thousand participants. Heightened security near government offices and main roads are likely; transport disruptions near the protest areas are also likely Nov. 19.
