Warning

Event

Various organizations plan to rally in south Kolkata, Nov. 14. Drivers of app-based taxi services, the Communist Party (CPM), and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will hold marches along Alipore and Chetla Central roads. The BJP protest over rising dengue cases in the state is likely to be most disruptive and has the highest potential for violence; the event will occur from 14:00 from New Alipore to Chetla Park. Several dozen to a few hundred people will join each rally.

Police will likely monitor the gatherings and may attempt to prevent or control especially large and/or disruptive crowds. Localized transport disruptions are likely.
