Authorities are responding to the discovery of a WWII-era bomb in the Gallus area of Frankfurt March 24. The device was discovered during construction work on Kleyerstrasse. Authorities will impose a 200-meter (656-foot) evacuation cordon from 12:00 to facilitate the disposal operation.

No traffic will be permitted within the security cordon. Traffic will also be suspended on a nearby rail line, impacting services between Frankfurt Central Station and Frankfurt-Niederrad Station, including services to Frankfurt Airport (FRA). Authorities have not provided an estimate for when the security cordon will be lifted.
