The US National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a tornado watch for parts of Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee through at least 22:00 CDT Oct. 6. The area under the watch includes the cities of Murfreesboro, Columbia, and Chattanooga, Tennessee; Birmingham, Huntsville, Albertville, Gadsden, and Anniston, Alabama; as well as Dalton, Calhoun, Cartersville, and Carrollton, Georgia.
