An unidentified gunman reportedly opened fire on police officers near Spring and Arcadia streets near Route 101 in downtown Los Angeles at around 22:45 Oct. 6. Authorities reportedly closed down the 101 northbound exit at Spring Street as a precaution. Additional police officers are deploying to the site. There have been no immediate reports of injuries.

Increased security and localized traffic disruptions are likely in the area over the coming hours.
