Unconfirmed reports indicate an Iranian-backed militia fired a projectile towards US coalition forces at the Al-Omar oil field in Deir Ez-Zur Governorate, July 11. The attack comes less than a day after a mortar round was fired towards a US coalition forces base near the Conoco gas field in Deir Ez-Zur Governorate, July 10. There have been no initial reports of casualties or material damage.

Increased security measures are likely at and near the impact area. Airstrikes, retaliatory actions, and further attacks are possible over the coming days.
