Officials will heighten security and close roads around the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro on July 10 ahead of and during the late evening final of the Copa America football tournament. Roads in the immediate vicinity of the stadium will close from 18:00. Local officials have agreed to allow some fans to attend the event. Approximately 10-percent of the stadium's total capacity will be opened to supporters.

Security personnel will be deployed to manage the crowds and to manage traffic. Activists opposed to the tournament being held in the country during the COVID-19 impact may protest near or at the site. Security forces are likely to disperse any gathering that occurs. Ground travel disruptions are likely near the venue after the fixture as supporters depart the area.
