Heavy rainfall in south Michigan has resulted in localized flooding and power outages. As of June 28, most highways have reopened except Interstate 94 in Dearborn and Detroit. At least 21,000 people are without power across the state. Authorities have declared a state of emergency for Wayne County following extensive flooding in Detroit.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a flood warning for Allegan, Barry, Ionia, Kalamazoo, Kent, Montcalm, Ottawa, and Van Buren counties until at least 13:00 EDT.

Residual disruptions are likely once flooding has subsided as authorities work to clear debris and any flood damage. Disruptions to electricity and telecommunications services are possible where significant flooding impact utility networks.
