The US National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a flash flood warning for parts of northeastern Illinois in the Chicago Metropolitan Area, including eastern Cook County, central DuPage County, and northwestern Will County, until 18:15 CDT June 26. Between 3-5 cm (1-2 inches) of rain have reportedly already fallen in the area over recent hours; flash flooding is imminent or ongoing as of the afternoon of June 26.
