Warning

Event

Armenia continues to enforce measures imposed to limit the spread of COVID-19 as of Feb. 24. International flights are permitted, and land borders are open to all foreigners. However, international arrivals via air or land must produce proof of having tested negative for COVID-19 using a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test taken no more than 72 hours prior to arrival. Individuals arriving without the required documentation must submit to a test on arrival and self-isolate until a negative result is confirmed.

Authorities are also maintaining a domestic quarantine regime until at least July 11. Protective face coverings are mandatory in public spaces, including on public transport. Public and private gatherings may not exceed 40 attendees. Most nonessential businesses are permitted to reopen provided they maintain strict hygiene and social-distancing requirements. Most educational facilities have reopened.

All restrictions are subject to amendment at short notice in response to government reviews and may receive updates or extensions in the coming days.

Advice

Follow all official instructions. Abide by national health and safety measures. Reconfirm all travel arrangements. Consider delaying traveling if experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19, as they could prompt increased scrutiny and delays. Liaise with trusted contacts for further updates and guidance. Maintain contact with your diplomatic representation. Ensure contingency plans account for further disruptive measures or extensions of current restrictions. Reconsider and reconfirm nonemergency health appointments.
