Employees of Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG) are set to hold a 24-hour strike in Berlin on Friday, October 9, through to Saturday, October 10, in order to denounce poor working conditions. Reports indicate that the industrial action will take place from 03:00 (local time) on Friday and continue through 03:00 on Saturday. The industrial action will affect bus, train and tram services.

Disruptions to overland travel should be anticipated for the duration of the planned strike. Associated demonstrations are also possible.
