Event

Activists are expected to stage a vehicular protest in the southern city of Algeciras (Cadiz province) on Friday, September 18, calling for additional healthcare resources to tackle the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. Demonstrators are expected to gather in vehicles in the Parque Feria area from 18:00 (local time) before driving on a route through the city via Avenida Blas Infante, Avenida Virgen del Carmen, the Ava Maria Roundabout, Avenida Europa, Avenida de la Guardia Civil, Malaga-Cadiz, Plaza Puerto, Getares Highway, Punta de Europa Hospital, and Paseo de la Conferencia in a slow-moving convoy, circling back to Parque Feria by 20:00.

The demonstration is likely to cause significant traffic disruptions in the city in the near term.
