Nepal: Landslide kills ten in Syangja district (Gandaki Pradesh province) September 24

Ten people died after a landslide occurred on Thursday, September 24, in Syangja district (Gandaki Pradesh province). The incident took place in Waling municipality in the early hours of Thursday morning. Another person died in a separate landslide incident in Gautum Daanda in Kaligandaki rural municipality. Six people are missing in Rambha rural municipality in Palpa district after a landslide buried three houses.

Residual disruptions are expected in affected areas as rescue and recovery operations are carried out. Further adverse weather is possible in the coming days and could bring further landslides and associated disruptions.
