Authorities issued further evacuation orders as the Bighorn wildfire continues to grow in the vicinity of the Catalina Mountains in Pima county (Arizona state) on Saturday, June 13. Orders to evacuate were given for residents in East Golder Ranch Drive and East Rollins Road after residents in parts of Catalina were asked to evacuate on the evening (local time) of Friday, June 12. Evacuation orders that were in place for the Catalina Foothills have since been downgraded. As of June 13, the fire has burned over an area of 11,500 acres (4654 hectares) and is 11 percent contained. Emergency response operations are ongoing.

Further spread of the fire is possible in the coming days. An emergency response presence and localized transportation disruptions, namely road closures, should be anticipated in the affected areas.
