At approximately 16:45 (local time) a tank truck carrying liquified gas exploded near the Liangshan village in Wenling. According to reports, a second blast occurred after the truck fell onto a workshop near the expressway, causing some nearby residential houses and factory workshops to collapse. Media sources reported on Sunday that the death toll had risen to 14, with a further 168 people injured.
