Afghanistan: Six killed in roadside blast in Kapisa province October 1

A roadside Improvised Explosive Device (IED) killed six people and wounded two others in the Nijrab district of the Kapisa province on Tuesday, October 1. According to local officials, the device was planted by Taliban militants. As of Wednesday, October 2, Taliban militants deny the allegations, accusing government forces instead.

Similar attacks are possible in Kapisa province over the near term.

Taliban militants launch attacks on government personnel, security forces, and civilians in Afghanistan on a near-daily basis.
