Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro will visit Argentina on Thursday, June 6. Bolsonaro is scheduled to arrive in Buenos Aires and visit Argentine President Mauricio Macri at the Presidential residence (Casa Rosada). Heightened security measures are expected at in the capital along with associated transportation disruptions.

Several labor unions and civil society groups have announced a series of anti-Bolsonaro protests in Buenos Aires during the visit. Thousands of participants are expected to rally at Plaza de Mayo, outside the Casa Rosada, on Thursday. Localized business and transportation disruptions are likely and clashes between security forces and protesters cannot be ruled out.
