Teachers in other states including Guerrero, Oaxaca, Michoacán, and Chiapas are expected to hold similar marches in major urban areas. The CNTE has also organized a 72-hour nationwide strike from Wednesday through Friday, May 17. Further demonstrations are possible during the work stoppage.
