On Wednesday, May 1, Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) announced more than 280 flight cancelations through Thursday afternoon (local time), May 2, due to an ongoing strike by airline pilots. Representatives from SAS indicated the airline resumed talks with the pilots in Oslo (Norway) on Wednesday, although details of the negotiations were not immediately made available. 

SAS has advised travelers to confirm the statuses of their flights before heading to the airport. 

Context

Pilots affiliated with Norway's employers association NHO launched a strike on April 26 after their demands for a 13 percent wage increase, among other issues, were not met by Scandinavian Airlines (SAS).
