Informational

Event

Libyan National Army (LNA) forces repelled a suspected militia attack on Tamanhint air base (near Sabha) on Thursday, April 18, while most LNA-aligned troops remained engaged in a northward offensive ordered by LNA Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar to capture Tripoli from forces aligned with the UN-backed Government of National Accord (GNA). At least one LNA soldier was killed in the assault. Similar militia attacks targeting LNA positions perceived to be lightly defended are possible in southern Libya over the coming weeks as most LNA forces are expected to remain engaged in fighting around the capital.

Advice
