US: Lingering flight disruptions reported across northeastern states March 4 /update 1

Event

A large winter storm system brought snow and strong winds to the northeastern US, including coastal New England, the Mid-Atlantic, and the Appalachians from Sunday, March 3, to Monday, March 4, causing widespread transportation disruptions. More than 720 flights were canceled and another 900 were delayed at US airports on Monday morning (local time), adding to the 1500 flight cancelations in the days prior. Flight disruptions were reported at Boston's Logan International Airport (BOS), New York City's John F. Kennedy International (JFK) and LaGuardia Airport (LGA), Newark Liberty International Airport (ERW), Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), and Washington D.C.'s Reagan National (DCA), among others. Lingering transportation disruptions are possible, including dangerous driving conditions and flight delays and cancelations.
