Morocco: Truck drivers stage nationwide strike March 4-5

Truck drivers represented by the Union marocaine du travail (ODT) labor union launched a 48-hour strike on Monday, March 4. According to union representatives, the strike is being held to protest changes to regulatory and technical controls. Associated protests are possible at popular gathering points and outside government offices in Morocco. Heightened security measures and localized traffic disruptions are expected around all demonstration sites.
