Kenya: Suspected bandits raid village in Turkana county March 3

A group of some 100 suspected bandits attacked the village of Lomelo located in Turkana county at approximately 18:00 (local time) on Sunday, March 3. According to local sources, at least one police reservist was killed and another civilian injured in an apparent cattle-rustling related attack; over 700 goats were also stolen. Further attacks are possible in the area in the near term.
