Unidentified gunmen reportedly kidnapped a village chief in Lafia local government area (Nasawara state) on February 18 at approximately 01:25 (local time) on Monday, February 18. As of Wednesday, February 20, the identity of the assailants, as well as the whereabouts of the village chief, remain unknown. Further such incidents are possible in Nasawara state in the near term.
