Kuwait: Protest in Jahra province by Bidoon community January 11

A sit-in demonstration by the Bidoon community is planned in the Taima area (Jahra province) on Friday, January 11, to call for improved civil rights despite an ongoing ban on protests. Organizers have called on participants to gather after 12:00 (local time) after Friday prayers and rallies are likely near Al-Shaabi mosque. A heightened security presence is expected as the government. Clashes between security forces and protesters cannot be ruled out.
