Algeria: Heavy snowfall January 10-11 closes roads in multiple provinces

Heavy snow fell in central and eastern Algeria on January 10-11, resulting in traffic disruptions and road closures in the provinces of Béjaïa, Bouïra, Jijel, and Tizi Ouzou. The army has been deployed to clear and open roads in affected areas. Lingering transportation disruptions are to be expected in the aforementioned provinces over the coming hours and days.
