UK: London Tube disruptions expected November 3-4 /update 1
Transport for London (TfL) warns that service on the Circle, Hammersmith & City lines, and parts of the District and Metropolitan lines will be disrupted November 3-4 for system repairs
Event
Major disruptions are expected in the London Tube on Saturday, November 3, and Sunday, November 4, due to scheduled upgrades for the signaling system. According to Transport for London (TfL), there will be closures along the Circle and Hammersmith & City lines and parts of the District and Metropolitan lines. Significant disruptions are to be expected at the Aldgate junction, and at other locations such as Baker Street and Earl's Court. TfL has announced that rail replacement buses will operate from Tower Hill to Barking via Canning Town in east London and that extra buses will also provide service in west London.
Advice
Individuals are advised to take alternative means of transportation, allow for extra time to reach their destinations, and anticipate overcrowding on operational public transportation (e.g. buses, other Tube lines).
