Nigeria: Soldiers kill protester in Port Harcourt November 5

Soldiers shot and killed one person during a protest over flooding and poor road conditions in the Nkpolu area of Port Harcourt (Rivers state) on Monday, November 5. In total, related violence has left at least three protesters dead, as well as a police officer in recent days. The unrest was reportedly spreading to the Rumuokoro area as of Monday afternoon (local time). Similar protests over poor road conditions and flood-related transportation disruptions are possible in Port Harcourt over the coming days.
