Italy: Nationwide health worker strike on November 30

Health workers to hold a nationwide strike on November 30; associated disruptions possible

Warning

Event

Workers of the National Health Service will hold a 24-hour nationwide strike on Friday, November 30, over working conditions. Disruptions (longer waiting times, appointment cancelations) are expected in medical facilities. Protests are possible throughout the day, along with the associated traffic disruptions.

As a reminder, ground staff at Milan's Linate (LIN) and Malpensa (MXP) international airports will hold a 24-hour strike on the same day. Flight delays and cancelations, along with increased waiting times at airports (check-in counters, security checkpoints, baggage drop-off/claim, etc.), are possible.

Advice

Individuals in Italy are advised to avoid all protests as a precaution and confirm medical appointments.
