Heavy rain forecast for regions of Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Al Dhafra, and Dalma until October 31; localized flooding and associated transportation disruptions expected

Heavy rains are expected to continue to strike the regions of Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Al Dhafra, and Dalma until Wednesday, October 31. Local authorities have advised motorists to avoid valleys and mountainous areas due to the risk of flash flooding and certain roads have been closed to traffic.
Other transportation disruptions, along with possible power outages and infrastructural damage, are expected. Flight delays and cancelations at Dubai (DXB) and Abu Dhabi (AUH) international airports cannot be ruled out, although no such disruptions have been reported so far.
