Event

Gunmen attacked a checkpoint located between the towns of Zliten and Khoms on Thursday, August 23. Four security personnel were killed and at least three others were wounded in the attack, which occurred on the Coastal Road linking Tripoli with points east.

Context

The attack is being attributed to members of the Islamic State (IS).
