China: Ferries suspended between Guangdong and Hainan

Ferry services across Qiongzhou Strait suspended since August 9 at 22:00 (local time)

Due to strong winds, ferry services across the Qiongzhou Strait - separating continental Guangdong province and the island province of Hainan - have been suspended since 22:00 (local time) on Thursday, August 9. Winds up to 60 km/h (37 mph) were expected on Friday. Local authorities have not announced when services would be resumed.
