UK: London Tube strike planned on Piccadilly Line July 11-14

Rail workers’ union plans to strike July 11-14 on London Tube’s Piccadilly line; US President Donald Trump to visit London July 12-13

Warning

Event

The Rail, Maritime, and Transportation (RMT) union announced that it will stage a strike starting at 21:00 (local time) on Wednesday, July 11, until 00:01 on Saturday, July 14, on the London Tube’s Piccadilly line. If it goes ahead as planned, the strike will coincide with a planned visit to London by US President Donald Trump on either July 12 or July 13. Extra bus service will likely be deployed for the duration of the strike. All other Transport for London (TfL) services will be running as normal, but services on the other lines will likely be busier than usual for the duration of the strike.

Advice

Travelers are advised to monitor the situation, to plan alternate routes, and to allow for extra time to reach their destinations for the duration of the strike.
