Rail service disruptions continue at Paris-Montparnasse station July 29; service reduced to 50 percent

Rail service disruptions continued at the Paris-Montparnasse station on Sunday, July 29. According to SNCF (France’s national rail operator) warned that service has been reduced to about 50 percent. Further disruptions are expected until Thursday, August 2, when power can be restored to the train maintenance center. Disruptions started on Friday, July 27, after a fire shut down the electrical grid in the suburb of Issy-les-Moulineaux.
