Egypt: Alexandria beach closed from July 24 due to safety concerns

Egyptian authorities announced the indefinite closure of Al-Nakheel beach in Alexandria on Tuesday, July 24, due to safety concerns. The measure was implemented after at least 20 people drowned so far in 2018 amid unusually large waves and whirlpools.
