At least five people, including two minors, were injured in an apparent grenade attack on a home in La Esperanza neighborhood, San José de Uré (Córdoba department) on the evening of Monday, July 23. The incident, which occurred during a municipal power outage in the area, was carried out by two unidentified assailants on a motorcycle and appears to have targeted relatives of murdered community leader Antonio Madrid Vargas, who was assassinated in January; all five victims were members of his family. However, Córdoba police have stated that the two events appear to be unrelated.
