Hamburg Airport (HAM) suffered a power outage around 10:00 (local time) on Sunday, June 3, ultimately forcing the evacuation of the airport terminals and the suspension of flight operations at the airport for the rest of the day. Dozens of flights were canceled as a result of the power outage, affecting thousands of passengers. Flights to HAM have been diverted to other regional airports. HAM authorities are reportedly continuing to work to resolve the issue, and will decide whether to reopen the airport at 03:00 on Monday, June 4. Additional flight disruptions, including delays and cancelations, are expected for flights to and from HAM in the coming hours.
