As of the morning of Friday, May 25, police continue to search for two unidentified men suspected of carrying out a bombing at a restaurant in the Toronto suburb of Mississauga (Ontario province) the night prior. The two men reportedly walked into the Bombay Bhel restaurant around 22:30 (local time) on May 24 and detonated an improvised explosive device (IED) before fleeing the scene. Three people were seriously wounded in the explosion; 12 others suffered minor injuries.

The motive for the bombing remains unknown. According to police, there is no indication that it was an act of terrorism, although it has not yet been fully ruled out.
