India: Uber, Ola drivers threaten strike from March 18

Drivers of the car services Uber and Ola have threatened to launch an indefinite national beginning at 00:01 (local time) on Sunday, March 18. The strike is expected to be observed in key cities like Mumbai, New Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Pune, among others.

Context

The strike has been called to denounce falling revenues. Due to the slump in business there has been a 20 percent decrease in the number of drivers operating on these platforms in Mumbai, to 45,000.
