France: National rail strikes starting April 2 /update 2
Employees at SNCF, France’s national rail operator, to strike two days out of five April 2 to June 28

Unions representing employees at the SNCF, the French national rail operator, are set to launch a series of strikes beginning on Monday, April 2, at 19:00 (local time). The strikes are set to take place two out of every five days until June 28. The current schedule is as follows:
- April 3, 4, 8, 9, 13, 14, 18, 19, 23, 24, 28, and 29
- May 3, 4, 8, 9, 13, 14, 18, 19, 23, 24, 28, and 29
- June 2, 3, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 18, 22, 23, 27, and 28
Significant rail disruptions are to be anticipated (e.g. reduced services, delays, and overcrowding on available trains). However, the SNCF has announced that it will not release its schedule for the strike periods until Sunday, April 1. Thalys and Eurostar trains have already announced schedule changes (canceled and truncated services) for the first few days of the strike.
