The government of Rwanda announced that a new visa scheme would be introduced on Monday, January 1, that will allow travelers from all countries to obtain a tourist visa upon arrival. The visa will be free for the nationals of several African states, including Ghana and Senegal. Those traveling on American, Australian, and British passports will be charged a USD 30 processing fee. Context

Rwanda's current visa system allows for travelers from African countries - as well as a select few others- to obtain a tourist visa upon arrival, while requiring prior authorization for most other nationalities.
