Hospital staff to organize strike and protests on January 23; confirm medical appointments and avoid all protests

The Trade Union Federation of Health Professionals of the Argentine Republic (FESPROSA) is planning to hold a 24-hour strike on Tuesday, January 23. During the strike, hospitals may offer only critical care and longer-than-normal waiting times are possible in all medical facilities; non-emergency cases may be turned away and scheduled doctor's appointments may be canceled.

A related demonstration is expected to take place on Tuesday in front of the Hospital Posadas in Buenos Aires. Additional protests could be held in other cities throughout Argentina.
