Switzerland: Trains to Geneva Airport suspended October 7-8

Officials cancel all trains between Geneva International Airport (GVA) and Geneva October 7-8 due to construction

Service on the main train line connecting Geneva International Airport (GVA) to Geneva’s city center (Geneva-Cornavin station) will be suspended on Saturday, October 7, as of 04:00 (local time), through Sunday, October 8, at 09:00, due to construction.

Although a bus replacement service will be operating, delays of around 30 minutes are to be expected. Passengers are advised to buy their tickets in advance as bus tickets will not be available for purchase on the bus.

Advice

Travelers are advised to allow for extra time to reach their destination and/or to seek alternative means of transportation if traveling between GVA and city center on the above dates. Note that the airport can also be reached via bus, taxi, or shuttle on a regular basis.
